Ok,....so Invention of the Year???

Yeah, I don't think so...Sssooooo let's start from the beginning. Time Magazine has called the Iphone(I am an Apple fan) the invention of the year. ??? Really, so all the urbanites out there can call friends, watch tv on the metro while ignoring the woman being groped or even raped on the subway...ok. We just took a nice invention which segregated us all further from one another (if you don't know what I mean ride a metro, you can even find a person who is not plugged in) and made it the crowning achievement of the year. I think we may want to reconsider that idea? I think this year scientist developed a prosthetic finger...sounds pretty incredible. Also, didn't we assist in sustaining a space station above the earth for another year....I would call that pretty incredible...and the inventions that came with that accomplishment alone I think would diminsh an Iphone. It is not Apple's fault that we are fickle as consumers, and media. So lets just look at media and ask them to carefully consider the things they put out there. Ok enough of that!! This idea is not a novel one on my part I am only propagating it from a posting I saw at http://crunchgear.com/.
